One of the most popular application of Differential calculus is in finding the maximum and minimum values. This types of problems not only arise in Engineering but also in daily life. Most of these are geometrical in nature, for example, the shortest path between two objects satisfying certain conditions, the maximum perimeter area or volumes, etc.
Integration is the inverse of differentiation. Integration and differentiation, together are called Calculus. Integral calculus is generally used in finding areas of irregularly shaped figures.
Solid of Revolution happens when a continuous curve or area is rotated about some axis. In this module, three methods of solid revolutions were discussed: (1) Disk method, (2) Washer method and (3) Cylindrical shell method.
